Free-Motion Quilting on your Home Sewing Machine - Part 1 - by Gretchen Veteran

Gretchen has been using her sewing machine to free-motion quilt her quilts for the last 9 years. Although she recently acquired a Longarm machine she will still quilt smaller quilts with her sewing machine. She will bring to class the king-size quilt she quilted on her sewing machine as one of the first projects she did and show you how even a large-size quilt can be done on your HMS!
Join her to learn the basics of creating the quilt sandwich, threads, tension, and marking tools. You will also spend time practicing free-motion techniques on test quilt sandwiches.
This class is for the beginner who wants to start with the basics and also have the time to learn how to adjust bobbin and top thread tension to work on their machine.
Gretchen will bring a wide selection of threads for the class to use including metallics, cottons, polys and her preference of monofilament threads, as well as stencils to try out.
Kit fee payable to instructor in class is $10.00.
In the following months Gretchen is offering a Part 2 and 3 to continue the learning process. Sign up early to secure your spot as space is limited to seven students. Part 2 is April 14 and Part 3 is May 12.

Minimum is 3; max is 7.
